Definition and Working Principle

A Wheel Blasting Machine, also known as a centrifugal wheel blasting system, is an industrial machine designed to clean, descale, and prepare metal surfaces using high-velocity steel shot or other abrasives. Unlike air blasting, wheel blasting does not rely on compressed air. Instead, it uses a rotating wheel to propel abrasive media at the workpiece。

The machine's blast wheel, often referred to as the "heart" of the system, contains an impeller and blades that accelerate the abrasive media (e.g., steel shot) to speeds of up to 300 feet per second。The abrasive is fed into the center of the wheel (control cage) and travels along the blades before being propelled in an arc towards the workpiece。

These machines are widely used in industries such as automotive, steel manufacturing, and construction for tasks like rust removal, surface preparation before painting, and shot peening。

Working Principle


(1) Working principle

The working principle of shot blasting According to the characteristics of disc round material, the machine is equipped with 5 high-efficiency shot blasting devices, and installed on the side of the shot blasting chamber, and the shot blasting speed of 60-90 m/s to clean the disc round material. The screw horizontal conveying system, high strength belt elevator, pellet separation system, two-stage purification and dust removal system (inertia + filter cartridge), automatic + manual man-machine interface electronic control system, so that the wire to meet the requirements of efficient shot blasting cleaning.
